The Ibero-American Symposium on Organic Chemistry (SIBEAQO) was first established in 2007 through the initiative of Antonio Mouriño (Spain) and Julio César Podestá (Argentina).
Since its first edition in 2007 in Mar del Plata, Argentina, SIBEAQO has been held regularly across Ibero-America and Europe. Subsequent editions took place in Santiago de Compostela, Spain (2010), Porto, Portugal (2016), Cayo Santa María, Cuba (2019), and O Grove, La Toja, Spain (2024).
This rotation reflects the symposium’s commitment to fostering scientific exchange and collaboration across the Ibero-American region. Its main objective is to serve as a space for integration, dissemination of scientific knowledge, and the creation of collaborative networks across Ibero-American countries.
The conference size is usually 150-200 attendees.
